What about people who were born blind? Does this apply to them as well?

The people in the experiment were blindfolded, thus they were effectively blind. Think that answers your q.

No, it doesn't. :!: People who are used to using landmarks and sight to navigate were used in the experiment. People born blind wouldn't be using visual clues to tell them where to go. I guess you're saying if you're born blind you just walk around in spirals. I wouldn't assume that was the case....

Without a seeing eye dog/cane or other assistance, perhaps.
